Paying no attention to the strict anti-homosexuality statutes in Putin’s Russia, openly gay Johnny Weir is not holding back with his outrageous style in Sochi. The two-time U.S. Olympic figure skating medalist is one of the fresh new faces NBC has snagged to be a commentator for the figure skating competitions. And, his presence has been a breath of fresh air. His ability to explain the inner workings of the sport to viewers—with an added dash of wit and charm—keeps the world tuning in…along with the desire to see what he’ll be wearing next, of course. After all, the Olympics have always been a little gay.
